Philanthropy is at the heart of Revitalash Cosmetics since our inception in 2006 we have honoured and supported breast cancer initiatives, and have since expanded our impact to reach countries around the globe year-round.
Each October, we turn up our philanthropy efforts, as the brand turns pink in honour of the courage and strength of our co-founder Gayle Brinkenhoff, and women everywhere who have been affected by breast cancer.
Locally, Revitalash Cosmetics New Zealand aligns with two incredible charities that make a huge impact to cancer recovery and offer community, Look Good Feel Better and PINC & Steel Cancer Rehabilitation Foundation.
WHY PINC & STEEL CANCER REHABILITATION FOUNDATION?
PINC & STEEL Cancer Rehabilitation Foundation was founded by Lou James, to help make cancer rehabilitation more accessible in NZ, as there is no government funding for cancer rehabilitation in New Zealand. The PINC Cancer Rehabilitation Program is dedicated to improving the strength, quality of life and sense of well-being of women, men and teens diagnosed with cancer.
If people don’t get rehabilitated after cancer it can affect their ability to work, their families, their physical, emotional and social well-being and their long-term health. Cancer rehabilitation and exercise can reduce the side effects of the disease and debilitating cancer treatments, and can improve functional ability, quality of life and ultimately, survival.
HOW DOES THE DONATION GET USED?
For every $150 raised, a cancer sufferer can have a one-on-one session with a physiotherapist. For every $200 raised, the foundation can fund 20 group sessions. The lasting effects the programs offer are incredibly valuable, which is why raising awareness and money each year is our mission at RevitaLash Cosmetics New Zealand.
This year, we were able to bring back our sell-out in-person fundraiser lunch Eat Drink Pink after a two-year hiatus, and along with our incredible brand partners and sponsors made this our largest donation yet - with $21,844 being donated to PINC & STEEL for 2022.
