FIVE WAYS TO WELLNESS DURING LOCKDOWN

 

ROUTINE

It is important to stay in the habit and mindset of working, so it is essential to set a timetable, prioritising your activities and organizing the tasks that you have to get done over the course of the day. It is important to plan your day and include other activities like rest breaks, exercise and time to socialise. 

 

STAY CONNECTED

Check-in with your friends and family regularly, start a group chat or call your friends daily. Apps such as House Party allow us to stay connected through group video calls, you can maintain a healthy social life through scheduled group activities such as an at-home pub quiz night, or celebrating birthdays virtually, or even a wine and a gossip with your girlfriends.

 

TAKE A BREAK

Remember to get out of the house for some fresh air and sunlight. Not only is it important to maintain exercise, but nothing is better to clear your head like going for a nice long walk whilst listening to your favourite podcast.

 

ACCLIMATISE AND ADJUST

You don't realise just how many hours are in the day until you are confined to the walls of your house. Make the most of this "extra" time and start a project, learn something new, and just do what you love.

 

BE KIND

Remember that this is only temporary - stay calm and show compassion towards others and yourself. We will get through this together.
