Celebrating 20 Years of Purpose, Innovation and Giving Back in New Zealand

 

This year marks a major global milestone for RevitaLash® Cosmetics as the iconic lash and brow brand celebrates 20 years of innovation, integrity and impact, with New Zealand distributor Kiara Cosmetics proudly marking the occasion locally.

Founded in 2006 by ophthalmologist Michael Brinkenhoff, M.D., RevitaLash Cosmetics was born from a deeply personal story, originally created as a gift for his wife Gayle during her battle with metastatic breast cancer, to help her feel beautiful and confident through treatment. Two decades on, the brand has grown into a global leader in lash and brow innovation, with its award-winning serum sold every 30 seconds worldwide.

To celebrate the milestone, the brand has launched its global “20 Years. $20 Million. One Mission.” initiative, a bold commitment to raise $20 million for breast cancer research and patient care, building on more than $13 million already contributed globally since 2008.

For New Zealand, the anniversary holds special significance.

Through ongoing fundraising initiatives and community campaigns, Kiara Cosmetics, the exclusive New Zealand distrubutor of RevitaLash® Cosmetics, has raised more than $140,000 for the Cancer Rehabilitation Foundation (PINC & STEEL), supporting Kiwis navigating cancer recovery through its annual fundraiser Empower Me Pink.

This year is especially meaningful, as the Cancer Rehabilitation Foundation is also celebrating 20 years of supporting New Zealanders through cancer rehabilitation and recovery.

Kiara Cosmetics founder Annemarie Mason says the milestone represents far more than longevity.

“For me, 20 years represents something far deeper than a milestone. It represents longevity built on integrity. In an industry often driven by trends, quick wins, and constant newness, RevitaLash® Cosmetics has taken a different path. It has grown with intention, prioritised safety, and remained committed to giving back, not just when it’s visible, but consistently over time.

It’s not just the 20 years that stands out, it’s how that longevity has been built and sustained. RevitaLash® Cosmetics hasn’t chased growth at the expense of trust. It has built a global reputation by focusing on efficacy, credibility, and doing things properly.”

Mason, a long-time lover of the brand who previously worked with RevitaLash® Cosmetics before bringing it to the New Zealand market through Kiara Cosmetics, says that trust continues to drive the brand’s success locally.

“As a distributor, that matters. You are not just choosing a product, you are choosing what you stand behind, what you bring into clinics, and what you put in front of your customers.

In New Zealand, trust is everything. It is why the brand has continued to grow here, and why we see such strong loyalty from both professionals and consumers.

As part of the global anniversary celebrations, Annemarie and Kiara Cosmetics General Manager member Ineke Pronk will travel to Ojai, California in May, joining RevitaLash® Cosmetics USA and distributor partners from around the world to celebrate the milestone and reflect on the brand’s next chapter.

Locally, Kiara Cosmetics will continue to build on its fundraising efforts through initiatives including Empower Me Pink, with all funds raised in New Zealand matched dollar for dollar by RevitaLash® Cosmetics USA, directly supporting the cancer rehabilitation community here.

In 2025 they raised 64,800 for Pinc and Steel, now named the Cancer Rehabilitation Foundation and aim to beat this record in 2026.

The milestone year also signals what’s next for the brand, with new product innovations and global launches set for later this year.

For New Zealand consumers and clinics alike, the 20-year celebration is both a reflection on the brand’s legacy and a commitment to what comes next, continued innovation, trusted results and purpose-led impact.
